The Martin Minors won the district championship Saturday, June 22 against Union City.
Team players include: Boone Hampton, Drake Kirk, Ty'Ques Nunn, Nash Nanney, Gabe Parker, Beckett Frazier and Alex White, Ross Jackson, Bolton Brooks, Wade Castleman, Tylan Mathis, Jamison Perkins, Jackson Turner, Todd Hampton, Dustin Frazier and Jakob Perkins. The team will move on to the State tournament.
Both teams huddled together after the game was over. “Both teams showed great sportsmanship,” Martin City Athletic Coordinator Adam Reddick stated. Teams that were in the Minors District tournament: Huntingdon, Martin Gold, Greenfield, McKenzie, Henry CO, Dresden, Union City, and Martin Blue.
