Reithoffer Shows, amusement ride operator at the Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair, presented by your Mid-South Ford Dealers, will present a fabulous show of the biggest and best carnival ride lineup anywhere in Tennessee, says president, Richard "Rick" Reithoffer. "We are going all out to provide the fair with a spectacular lineup of rides. This fair is really special for the state of Tennessee and all the customers who enjoy the excitement of a big fair", says Reithoffer, who adds, "We want to give them a blast!"

The show will feature 60 rides including 24 kiddies, 17 major, 7 spectacular and 12 super spectacular rides.

New rides include Up Up and Away in the kiddie land section of the midway. Kiddie land is a separate area just for smaller children to ride. For adults, rides called Block Craft and Pit Stop will make their debut. A spectacular ride called Rip Tide will spin riders in a circular fashion, like a giant clock.

Reithoffer said that fair favorites the Gentle Giant Wheel and two roller coasters-Galaxy and the Indy 500 will be back. The wheel tops out at 105 ft tall. Reith offer said the wheel might look like a Ferris wheel, but this type is called a Giant Wheel, because of the gondola cars to carry customers.

Electronic ticketing will again be provided near the main entrance green gate and the west entrance to the carnival near the Expo building. Customers can use credit cards and cash to buy their wristbands for all day riding on the midway. "Wristbands are the best deal for customers. You can't beat the price", says Reithoffer.

All ride pricing can be found on the fair's website: www.wilsoncountytnstatefair.com

The 2024 fair's theme is: "Sow the Fun! Harvest the Memories!" while celebrating the Year of Wheat and Small Grains. The fair will run August 15-24, at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center, 945 E. Baddour Parkway, Lebanon, TN

Reithoffer Shows, Inc. is the longest, continuous operating amusement company in America. The show plays about 40 f airs and festivals in 16 states. It began in 1896, with a steam powered carousel and now encompasses over 100 rides.
